VOLTBUS on the roads of Ukraine

The VIPOS automobile plant in Kherson is taking a strategic step into the future by beginning preparations for the production of electric vehicles. This decision is in line with global trends in the automotive industry and Ukraine’s transport strategy, which envisages a complete transition to electric public transport by 2030.

The plant’s construction was completed back in 2006, and it became one of the most innovative in the country, receiving modern equipment from leading European manufacturers. Cars were already being assembled here in SKD format, and the company’s own OSTCAR V3 model was also presented.

Today, the company is opening a new page in its history — preparing production lines for the manufacture of electric vehicles. Several models are planned for the Ukrainian market, with an emphasis on:

  • environmental friendliness — reducing harmful emissions into the environment;
  • accessibility — creating transport adapted to the realities of Ukrainian cities;
  • innovation — using modern battery technologies and energy efficiency systems.

“We believe that electric vehicles will be the future of Ukrainian transport. The task of our plant is not only to produce cars, but also to shape a new culture of mobility in Ukraine,” said the plant’s CEO.

The launch of electric vehicles will not only be an important step in the development of VIPOS, but also a significant contribution to the development of national industry.
